Jewish-culture query

If 'blotting out the name of Haman' is taken seriously enough to involve
noisemakers at the synagogue for when his name comes up in the story, how
come hamantaschen are called hamantaschen? It's got the offending name
right there in it.

	Well, it isn't taken all that seriously. At all the megillah readings I've been to, the noisemakers tend to go into action only after the reader is done saying Haman. Probably it started as an excuse to be rowdy while drunk. Also, you will notice that the hamantashen get eaten.
