I am supposed to be watching movies for my women's studies class. Specifically, this week I am supposed to be watching Disney's Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.

Yesterday I watched Iron Man. Today I watched Iron Man 2. I do not want to go from Pepper Potts and Natasha Romanov to Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.

Also, remind me why it's a bad idea for someone who does not, as a general rule, porn to sign up for [community profile] kink_bingo?

Even of the Disney movies, those are particularly boring female characters. Cinderella has the most personality, but even her main characteristic is "perky."

I had to watch Bambi for my Nature and Society class, which was actually much more enjoyable than I anticipated. One thing about the old Disney movies is how beautifully made they are.

...it is? I mean, I'd get nowhere with it - I'd end up subverting all the prompts - but if you just need motivation to write kink, I think that'd be the way to do it!

Edit: I do not get excited about the narrative treatment of Disney's Sleeping Beauty, but the visual treatment is really interesting - it's a very particular style that I don't think they did in any of their other movies. Also, bonus Tchaikovsky!

I actually sign up for KB every year and I don't think I've ever done porn for it, tbqh. I'm going to try and change that this year, for a change of pace, but yeah. It's not a bad idea.

I wish I had Snow White. I have been hoping to watch it and read along with Grimm and some other stuff and German folklore...

We have Sleeping Beauty. We got it for my mom for her birthday. I should watch that, too. Fairies! And Malificent!

Maybe you can somehow combine these assignments and go much around at disney_kink?

Sleeping Beauty has the three fairies, though, they make up for a bit.

Also, you could reward yourself by watching Enchanted right afterwards and do a compare-and-contrast.
